![]() ![]() ![]() Not long ago, I attended some very high-level meetings at my workplace, where I shared a room with, among others, a few colleagues who barely even knew my name. I’ve spent a great deal of time and spiritual effort thrashing against the opinion that nobody fucking cares about localized music communities anymore, that “the only music scene that matters anymore is the internet.” A similar battle has been waged against people who think writing about music is only valuable to other music writers and people for whom it is used as a marketing tool.
